To move through life with a sense of well being is to nourish the mind-body-spirit connection the right way. Not doing so results in an unbalanced life.
Certain elements should be considered in this connection. Underscored and including in these elements is the spiritual connection. No, that doesn’t mean going to church every day.
This means engaging in any activity that leaves you with the sense that life is the way it should be and that you are okay. It can be a sound of music that seems to touch your soul, or a moving film, or prayer. It can be a simple thing such as conversing with a friend or walking alone on a beach.Get more information here. http://dawnmarie4.wordpress.com/2011/07/08/rick-warren-speaks-out-against-those-warning-the-church-of-meditation/
Think you can’t meditate? Yes you can. Many consider meditation a trance. It is not; meditating is being still and thinking of a specific something.
You can train yourself. Start with short lengths of time. As your thoughts stray, gently bring the thought back. With practice gradually increase the time span. What comes to you about that “something” seldom comes then. More than likely it comes at an unexpected time, perhaps while walking.
The many products that advertize “fat free” provide evidence of our self concept concerns about our body. Do you really want to appear as thin as a rail or the opposite? To nourish the body properly follow the food pyramid recommended by US government. Most diets will not work. When food intake is reduced it triggers the production of ghrelin, a chemical that tells us we are hungry.
Mental exercise is just as important. Consider changing your attitude about mental work. Look at it as a challenge. Engage in activities requiring mental activities such as crossword puzzles or bridge.
To live contentedly exercise the mind and the body and eat sensibly.
