Practice Good Nourishment To Practice Good Behavior

Most people do not realize that the foods we eat have an emotional effect on us as well as a physical. When we eat healthy, we feel good and, consequently, our behavior improves.
Start including fish in your diet. Fish is a good source of vitamin B-12 and Omega-3 fatty acids. Studies suggest that a lack of Vitamin B-12 can cause depression and confusion. Studies also suggest that Omega-3 fatty acids help brain function and improve bad moods.
Whole grains are another step to improving your behavior. They are not only rich in fiber and other nutrients, but they cause the brain to produce serotonin. Serotonin makes us feel good and a lack of it is linked with depression.
Don’t forget the fruits and vegetables, especially dark green and leafy vegetables. They contain folate, which is lacking in people suffering from depression.
Avoid sugar whenever possible. It may give you a temporary lift, but you will end up feeling sluggish and cranky. Too much sugar ages the skin and causes weight gain, which can lead to depression.
Stay hydrated! Dehydration can lead to a variety of health problems that will affect your behavior. Drink plenty of water and avoid drinks laden with sugar.
